Q: i’m soon to be 16, and there is an amazingly sweet wonderful gorgeous sexy tattooed secretary at my school who is 24. now see, i don’t even know if she likes me, she’s suggested hitting the gaybar to shoot some pool, but we’re basically just friends, and soon she’ll be leaving for california (i live in maryland) and she’s invited me to hang out in cali with her once she gets settled. i know i would completely fall in love with her if given the chance, but her age, and the fact that she’s leaving, poses a problem. do i do something about any of this or do i just leave it alone and let myself get over my enamoration of this goddess?
Diva Says: I’m going to keep this short and simple, because you’re absolutely not going to like it. For the sake of her career — I’d say let it go. Write her emails. Be pen-pals. But leave the romantic stuff out of it.
The age gap between 15 and 24 is not only enormous in the realm of maturity and experience (yes, yes, I know — you’re old for your age), it’s also illegal. If it’s meant to be, it’ll still be meant to be in a little over 2 years when you’re of legal age. For now, I’d say focus on finding someone closer to your age to fall for.
No fun, am I? *wink*
